“Mad Dog” Morgan was a ruthless and bloodthirsty bushranger who roamed the southern riverine close to Corowa, famous for stealing the winner of the Melbourne Cup on 3 occasions.
The town of Rutherglen, just across the Murray River from Corowa lays claim to some of the best fortified dessert wines in the world, particularly Muscat & Topaque. This whisky has been matured in American Oak Barrels that have previously contained this delicious Muscat wine.
