Today he is recognized as Ireland’s greatest Master Distiller.
Each barrel of Limavady is aged in ex Bourbon Casks, before being hand selected to be finished in PX Sherry Casks.
Golden amber in colour, with aromas and flavours of peach, starfruit, spiced caramel, butter cookies and hints of grapefruit with a vibrant and very long and elegant finish conveying toasted sourdough and baked apples.
About the Brand
From the Gaelic Leim an Mhadaidh, the town of Limavady was named for a legendary leap across the River Roe by a great Irish wolfhound to warn his clan of enemy ambush. Its namesake whiskey celebrates Limavady's next leap - the greatest in Irish whiskey - under the banner of the leaping dog. A universally beloved icon of bravery, ardor and good will, Limavady's canine hero will elevate the Irish whiskey category to capture the hearts, minds and palates of a new generation of craft whiskey enthusiasts.
