Round and full of flavour, this Texan Rum is made from a collection of the finest molasses available. As always, Balcones bring out the best in their ingredients through traditional double distillation in hand-built copper pot stills. Their unique cooperage program consisting of a variety of oak species and multiple toast profiles, results in a bold and robust rum with rich deep fruit flavours, with viscous and warm notes of vanilla and caramel. Bottled at cask strength and only available once a year in small quantities, this is a rum to excite both the rum purist and the committed whisky drinker.
About the Brand
The first Texas whisky produced since prohibition, Balcones Distilling started in an old welding shop under a bridge in Waco. Now over a decade later, Balcones is world renowned for creating authentic Texas spirits from grain to glass. In 2014 Balcones Distilling moved to their new home, the old Texas Fire Proof Storage Co. building in downtown Waco. Master Distiller Jared Himstedt leads a team of Texan Distilling Pioneers, challenging tradition and bringing the original Texas spirit to the world.
