A single barrel selection of the famed Balcones single malt that showcases the nuances of this unique hand crafted whisky. Balcones use a variety of new and used American, French and Hungarian oak barrels, all of which are candidates for the Single Barrel Private Selection Program. This variety in barrel characters combined with copper pot distillation yields complex flavours, all of which are unique to each barrel pick.
About the Brand
The first Texas whisky produced since prohibition, Balcones Distilling started in an old welding shop under a bridge in Waco. Now over a decade later, Balcones is world renowned for creating authentic Texas spirits from grain to glass. In 2014 Balcones Distilling moved to their new home, the old Texas Fire Proof Storage Co. building in downtown Waco. Master Distiller Jared Himstedt leads a team of Texan Distilling Pioneers, challenging tradition and bringing the original Texas spirit to the world.
